22 Weston Park is a small suburban garden measuring 10m x 45m. It is an oasis of green, packed full with as many plants as the limited space will allow. Trees provide the shelter and privacy from neighbouring houses; bamboos, tree ferns and large leaved hostas give the garden its exotic feel. “Kidnapped, blindfolded and set free into this garden, I could have been in the tropics”, is how Shirley Lanigan, in her book ‘The Open Gardens of Ireland’ described her visit to Olive’s garden.
